La ginesta altre vegada,
la ginesta amb tanta olor,
és la meva enamorada
que ve al temps de la calor.

L'albatros

Qui hante la tempête et se rit de l'archer;

que coneix la tempesta i es mofa de l'arquer;

Comiat

The ink smears my fingers, my veins...

Perquè no li coneguin fingeix un pas ardit;
She is blind, the shame of being it dominates her.
So that they do not know it, she feings a bolt step;
stronger than fear, walk and walk...
The thorns of the path tear her dress.

344. Cap al tard / At dusk

Cap al tard
coincidim.
.
Sembla
que coincidim.
.
Qui sap
si coincidim.
.
Potser
no coincidim.
.
Millor
si coincidim.
.
Però
si coincidim.
per què cap al tard?
.
At dusk
we coincide.
.
It seems
we coincide.
.
Who knows
if we coincide.
.
Maybe
we don't coincide.
.
The better
if we coincide.
.
But
if we coincide,
why at dusk?

317. Preguntes d'un obrer davant un llibre / Questions from a worker who reads

on anaren els picapedrers?
els habitants clamaven demanant auxili als seus esclaus.
..
Who built Thebes of the seven gates?
In the books you will find the name of kings.
Did the kings haul up the lumps of rock?
And Babylon, many times demolished.
Who raised it up so many times?
In what houses of gold-glittering Lima did the builders live?
Where, the evening that the Wall of China was finished
did the masons go?
Great Rome is full of triumphal arches. Who erected them?
Over whom did the Caesars triumph?
Had Byzantium, much praised in song,
only palaces for its inhabitants?
Even in fabled Atlantis the night the ocean engulfed it
the drowning still bawled for their slaves.
The young Alexander conquered India. Was he alone?
Caesar beat the Gauls. Did he not have even a cook with him?
Philip of Spain wept when his armada went down.
Was he the only one to weep?
Frederick the Second won the Seven Years' War.
Who else won it?
Every page a victory.
Who cooked the feast for the victors?
Every ten years a great man.
Who paid the bill?
So many reports.
So many questions.

Encara plou.
Sortiré sota els arbres. Peus descalços, per no tacar-me les sabates.

...
............
In the end, it has been verified, camels
reach to pass through the subtle body of a needle.
....
Camels, once surpassed the body of the needle,
stretch them out, cleaned the dust, made someone clean their legs,
clap their hands, ask for the newspaper, the coffee, some drink,
the pure of redemption, the dove of peace
and amnesty for everybody.

265. El mateix mar / The Same Sea

NO ESTÀ PERDUT I QUÈ SI S'HA PERDUT
............
Silenci cristal·li blau transparent.
S'ha apagat el vent. A les planes desertes
cau un vel de teixit gelat vidriós.
..............
Buit i fred.
...........
Seguirà una mica més. Si s'ha perdut
no passa res: ho deixarà còrrer i tornarà enrere
en silenci. Per on ha vingut.
...........
....
....
HE'S NOT LOST BUT NOTHING HAPPENS IF HE'S LOST
.......
Clear, blue, diaphanus silence.
The wind had ceased. At the desert plains
a cold, glassy veil is falling.
.....
Empty and cold. Vast. Beyond the horizon
according to the map there is a small village.
No village no woods. Maybe he's lost.
...
He will continue a bit more. If he's lost
nothing happens: he will forget about and will come back
silently. The same path he had took.
...
The way is flat. Smooth and sharp the frost.
Next to the sea his father is waiting for him
and beyond, in the hollow, his mother.
...
.............
Fragment de la novel·la El mateix mar, feta de petits textos i de poemes, sorprenent i del tot recomanable.
From the novel The Same Sea, made of cuttings and poems, amazing, I recomended it to you.

Ferlandina amb Joaquín Costa (Barcelona)
Felandina&Joaquin Costa crossroads

o no prendre'n cura quan està malalt,

There are several ways to kill a man.
You can stick a knife to his belly,
either you can withdraw the bread to him,
or don't take care him in the illness,
either to hide him in a repulsive house,
or to make him kill working,
or incite him to the suicide,
or lead him to the war, etc.

Only a few of these things are forbidden to our State.

Bertolt Brecht

Vinyes verdes vora el mar
Vinyes verdes vora el mar,
verdes a punta de dia,
verd suau cap al tard...
Feu-nos sempre companyia,
vinyes verdes vora el mar!

Green vineyards near the sea,
green at dawn,
soft green in the lateafternoon...
Always make us company,
green vineyards near the sea!

Flors funestes
Ah negres flors d'inexplicada causa!
Oh negres flors de pètals endolats!
On heu nascut? Qui és vostre pare i mare?
No ho sabreu dir. Funestes flors, funestes!
Baleful flowers
Ah black flowers of unexplained reason!
Oh black flowers with mourning petals!
Were you born? Who is your father, who your mother?
You will not how to say it. Baleful, baleful flowers.

233. L'altra cara de Beijing / The other side of Beijing

Juny
Mai de la vida
aconseguiré esquivar el "juny".
Juny:
Juny:
un sol abrusador m'esqueixa la pell
i revela l'abast veritable de la ferida.
Juny:
el peix se'n va del mar de sang,
neda cap a un altre lloc on hivernar.
Juny:

June

June
My whole life
Will never get past "June"
June,
when my heart died
When my poetry died
When my lover
Died in an abandoned pool of blood
June,
the scorching sun burns open my skin
Revealing the true nature of my wound
June,
the fish swims out of the blood-red sea
Toward another place to hibernate
June,
the earth changes shape, the river falls silent
Piled up letters unable
to be delivered to the dead

Miquel Martí i Pol

LIKE A BIRD IN THE HANDS
Like a bird in the hands of a child,
as insecure as a bird nest
in the hands of a child,
my voice in your hands.

229. Federico Garcia Lorca

Federico Garcia Lorca

There's a concert hall in Vienna
where your mouth had a thousand reviews.
There's a bar where the boys have stopped talking,
they've been sentenced to death by the blues.
Ah, but who is it climbs to your picture
with a garland of freshly cut tears?
Ay, ay ay ay
Take this waltz, take this waltz,
take this waltz, it's been dying for years.
Leonard Cohen
